  Compilations with Cause (CwC) is a monthly handpicked mixtape series featuring the music of New England area artists. Launched in March of 2021, the project’s goal is to support and promote the work of those organizations advocating, inspiring and organizing positive social change in our communities. By riding the wave of excitement surrounding “Bandcamp Fridays”, Compilations with Cause hopes to raise awareness and funds for those organizations.
  
  Each month CwC features a new non-profit that has a solid history in organizing and inspiring social justice and change through programming and activism. CwC is an opportunity to create a space for an exciting multi-genre mixtape and to tell a story with that music
  
  The second release from this project features many talented artists from the New England area and is pleased to announce that it will feature 2 previously unreleased songs. Ryan H. Walsh of Hallelujah the Hills composed and recorded a song specifically for this project called “Night Machine” and Rhode Island singer-songwriter, Will Orchard contributed an unreleased demo called “We are Lucky”.
  
  April’s compilation will be raising funds for City Life / Vida Urbana.
  
  City Life/Vida Urbana is a grassroots community organization committed to fighting for racial, social and economic justice and gender equality by building working class power. They promote individual empowerment, develop community leaders and build collective power to effect systemic change and transform society.
  
  As the aftermath of the pandemic continues to affect our lives it may leave many families at risk of being displaced from their homes. The work that City Life / Vida Urbana does not only advocates but empowers tenants and builds community leaders. ... more
